General Questions
Unlike conventional rising damp solutions which require remediation work on a periodic basis, the DriWay technology is the only permanent solution to rising damp. DriWay is focused on long-term elimination of all rising damp and associated water issues.
Our certified DriWay technicians perform benchmark data testing on the day of installation across a number of key performance indicators (KPIs) including internal wall moisture, surface wall moisture and negative ions. All tests are performed in line with international industry standards. DriWay technicians return to site either on a quarterly or bi-annual basis to service the device and perform similar tests to compare to benchmarked data. These tests demonstrate efficacy of the DriWay technology. In parallel, we monitor changes in smells, mold, condensation levels and wall efflorescence which provide further indication that walls are drying out.
The DriWay technology solution has undergone comprehensive health and safety inspection, testing, verification and certification and met the requirements with global organizations including TUV Rheinland in the U.S. The DriWay technology is not harmful to the human body.
All mechanical remediation, plaster removal and painting will still need to happen once the building is dry. The DriWay technical team recommends that breathable plaster and paints be applied once the building has dried out after several months. DriWay is not a cure all solution and roof leaks, pipe leaks and splash water etc are issues which will still require attention separately.
The rising damp will return once the DriWay device is removed. For so long as the DriWay device remains present in your building, it will permanently solve for rising damp and associated water related issues.
The DriWay solution will handle your rising damp and condensation issues. Should your building be suffering from other issues, we will highlight these issues in our inspection reports and make it clear which issues can be addressed by the DriWay technology and those which will not. Should your rising damp issues not be resolved and you require a new device to be installed, we will swap out the device free of charge, in line with our standard service level agreement.
Excess water ingress from rising damp typically leads to mold growth in cupboards and walls. This usually occurs on ground floor up to 1.5m in height. Mold found in bathrooms tends to be condensation related and occurs due to excess water in the air. The DriWay device will not address mold issues arising from this type of situation.
Building walls undergo an evaporation phase, which typically takes 3 months for rising groundwater to evaporate fully from the building walls, and a dehydration phase which takes an additional 6 months until the walls are fully dehydrated to their natural hydrodynamic equilibrium. Additionally, in our experience, it typically takes 30-60 days for smells and mold to reduce. Increased negative ions which directly translates to improved indoor air quality is realised almost immediately post installation of the DriWay device. It must be noted however that each building is unique and timing can differ based on different climatic and building conditions. Our DriWay technicians are on hand to advise on remediation times and best practices.
Payments Questions
DriWay provides a suite of payment plan options for its customers including cash sales as well as monthly leasing instalments over the life of a contract which can is typically between 36-60 months.
Unfortunately, we do not offer our customers a trial period, however DriWay does offer a suite of payment plan options for its customers (see above).
